The Getting to Know You Call
The first step in the process is to have a ‘getting to know you’ Discovery Call,
which takes around 15 minutes.
This chat allows:
- For me to find out about you and your family (your personalities, interests, and
anything that might make your portrait session more personal)
- So we can plan your session together (or at least chat about options you might
like to consider like portrait shoot locations)
- To answer any questions you may have about a portrait shoot
- And to book your session in my calendar (if you’re not quite ready to set a date yet, this part can be done later).
The Planning Appointment
I provide a quick in-person or video call pre-session planning appointment about a week before your session. It’s a great way to meet and get to know everyone who will be at your portrait session and has proven really helpful in making people relaxed in front of the camera.
It’s also the perfect time to answer any questions you might have and finalise plans for your portrait session.
We’ll also cover:
- Shoot location options
- How to prepare for your session
- Guidance on what to wear
- Options if bad weather is forecast
Your Portrait Session
This is where the fun happens, and you’ll all have a blast.
My approach to family portraits is to make them fun and relaxed. I’ll create classic portraits where everyone is looking at the camera and also capture fun, joyful and natural moments during our time together.
I’ll also cover a range of individual and family group combinations, plus anything extra you may request to create a beautiful range of portraits to choose from at your design appointment.
The Design & Ordering Appointment
I love this step and can’t wait to pop over to show you your new portraits. You’ll be spoilt for choice in both the range of photos and product options to choose from.
I bring product samples with me so you can get a good idea of what will compliment your style and home decor, and I’ll be on hand to help you find the best way to showcase your new portraits in your home.
Not to sound too swish, but I also use some clever software that allows you to see wall art designs on your own wall spaces. I like to call it the Goldilocks system, as it helps you see if the size is too big, too small or just right for your home.
My Packages start from £350, Wall Art starts from £275, and Framed Storyboards start from £578.
I don’t have a minimum spend; however, as a guide, most families invest between £400 to £1500 on their portrait collection. I offer two in-house payment plan options if you’d like to split the cost of your order.
Your Order Delivery
Undoubtedly the best part and a super exciting moment as your new artwork will be taking pride of place in your home for years to come.
I personally deliver printed products when it’s practical to do so. I love seeing families’ reactions when they see their artwork for the first time and the peace of mind knowing their new portraits have arrived safely.
Wall Art and Albums orders typically take 3 – 6 weeks to complete.
